In 2024, we began importing vehicles from Japan for ourselves.
What stood out immediately was the quality. Many Japanese vehicles are, low mileage, Well looked after and serviced and driven on roads free from salt, grit, and potholes
The condition often exceeded what we were seeing locally in the UK.
We realised there was something special about this market.
GROWING DEMAND
After importing several cars for ourselves, we started selling them, and quickly noticed strong demand in the UK.
Buyers were actively searching for clean, honest examples that simply weren’t available domestically. Soon, friends, clients, and fellow enthusiasts began asking us to source vehicles on their behalf.
What started as helping a few people grew into managing the entire journey, from auction purchase in Japan to delivery at their door in the UK.
That’s when AutoSelecta began to take shape.

Your deposit is applied towards your Autoselecta service fee, and the remaining balance must be paid within 3 days to allow the process to continue without delay.
Once payment has been received, we begin export preparation, arrange shipping, and manage the full journey through to delivery.

If you do not win an auction, your deposit remains securely on your account.
If you paid via Stripe, the funds will be returned to your account.

You do not need to arrange shipping. We handle the entire process for you.
Shipping costs are calculated live and shown before you place a bid, so you always understand the total cost in advance.
This includes export handling in Japan, shipping, port handling, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
All local taxes and import costs are displayed in the pricing calculator before you place a bid.
For UK buyers, this includes VAT and import duty.
For international buyers, costs will be adjusted based on the destination country at the point of import.
After winning an auction, the vehicle is typically prepared for export within 7 to 10 days in Japan.
Shipping times depend on the destination. For the UK, this is usually 7 to 10 weeks at sea.
Once the vehicle arrives, additional time may be required for customs clearance, registration, and final preparation before delivery.
